Conspiracy Theory by Deanna L. Andrews

Discrepancies and inconsistencies
In our histories leave us with mysteries
And I get pissed you see ‘cause rather than deal with me
You want conspiracy theories of who shot Kennedy?

But who shot King? And who shot X?
And who’ll be next when the government’s vexed?
By outspoken thinkers, dreamers
Flowing activist thoughts like streamers,

More like confetti
These folks ain’t ready
For the masses marching
Fuck that - Charging

Through the streets of Atlanta
From Soweto to Guyana
Zimbabwe to L.A.—Haiti to D.C.
We’ve got our own theory and yes, it’s a conspiracy

To burn that corporate ladder
And our mobs are getting madder
Our motto is “Take no shit”
Can’t fail and won’t quit

Taking our cues from Nkrumah,
L’Overture, and Mandella
Eating chitterlings from racist pigs
Who won’t find killers of Tupac and Big

Our failure is not an option
Waving radical flags with this caption
“We the people, who have been oppressed
will retaliate against unjust with unrest.”
