City Writers is seeking submissions from talented, unpublished writers in the New York City area. We are currently accepting works of short fiction, poetry, and personal essays.

Guidelines for short fiction/personal essays: Please submit one story or essay at a time, of 6000 words or less.

Guidelines for poetry submissions: Please submit three to five poems, of 100 lines or less each.

Submissions will be accepted via email and snail mail.

  Please direct your submission to either the Fiction Editor, Poetry Editor, or Nonfiction Editor. We will respond within one month. If you would like your work returned to you, please include an SASE.
  
  By submitting your work, you certify that the material is previously unpublished and not copyrighted by any other source. All rights revert to the author upon publication. However, we reserve the right to publish the work in future editions/issues.
