City Writers is maintained by two aspiring writers/editors -- Amy Byers and Bess Jankowski -- who attended grade school together in a small town located about an hour northwest of New York City.

Amy's mom gave her Capri Sun juice pouches in her lunchbox each day, while Bess's mom provided her with low-budge Ssips.

Having long ago vacated their super-hip converted warehouse loft on the Greenpoint waterfront, both gals still reside in the city -- Bess currently in WaHI and Amy in Williamsburg.
