![]() Marie Sabatino hails from what she likes to consider "the sixth borough," New Jersey, but she has lived in New York City on and off for the past six years. Some of the themes explored in her fiction are influenced by her professional experience in the mental health field where she provides counseling to formerly incarcerated women of New York State. Marie has read her fiction at various venues in NYC including, The National Arts Club, The Telephone Bar, KGB Bar and others. She is the curator and host of a monthly reading series at The Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center on the Lower East Side. Marie's work has appeared in various literary magazines including Crush Magazine and Mr. Beller's Neighborhood. This is her first story published with City Writers Review.
